This Great Hall wedding of Jessica and Joseph was one that I'd call an intimate and unique celebration of the two families' union at its best. The wedding was originally plan to take place in Normandy, France, where Joseph spend childhood summers at a family cottage. Reality proved that planning an overseas wedding wasn't easy so the two Torontonians settled for a Toronto wedding. Coming from a Vietnamese background, Jessica also shared a touch of the French culture. Both Jessica and Joseph's cultures were celebrated in the wedding through the use of traditional colours and textures in the wedding decorations. Both families came from overseas to witness the marriage. Joseph's family even surprised the newly wed by going on the stage and singing a song they wrote about them during the evening reception. The Great Hall proved to be an unique wedding venue and a beautiful space with lots of possibilities. While the ceremony space was very minimalistic, modern and clean, the reception hall was uniquely dolled up in such a way that it's warm and welcoming, as if you're inviting to an intimate cottage family dinner. This tied back to the country theme Jessica and Joseph originally wanted for their destination wedding. This Great Hall wedding was perfectly planned and executed with a touch of ease to it. Perfections sometimes came in the form of imperfection. It's a big day yet it's a casual one with everyone, including Jess and Joseph's beloved dog, just having a great time. It's a personalized day that reflected who Jessica and Joseph were as individuals and as a couple. I wish these unique intimate wedding photos would always remind Jess and Joseph of their love for each other and for their families and friends.
xx,
Ally
