Boudoir Photography Toronto

I took a boudoir photography workshop in Toronto with one of the best boudoir photographers, Joao Guedes in March, 2020. It’s a birthday present to myself. I shot a few boudoir photo shoots in the past with my wedding clients. Whether it’s the process of the photoshoot itself or the presentation of such images to oneself or a loved one, the intimate and often time vulnerable nature of boudoir photography always intrigued me. I was told by my wedding clients and followers many times that I should shoot more boudoir photography. I thought it’s my intimate and relaxed approach in weddings that people saw the connections in my work and boudoir photos. This session of Rachel under Joao’s direction was no exception. I found myself once again fell in love with the process of making such intimate images. In a pursue to creating the best boudoir photos, both the model and the photographer must open themselves up for a journey of discovery. It’s in the discovery of oneself that you created the most telling boudoir photos. Photos that reminded you of who you are. Be it the vulnerable self or the confident self that you saw in the images, it documented a chapter of you at a time you decided a boudoir photoshoot was called for. Boudoir photography captured a piece of you that you wanted to hold on to.
